Dry Hydrant Systems: designed to be a stationary water-point below a static water source for drafting operations.
- Pipe Size: Is referring to the inside diameter
- NH or NST (National Hose or National Standard Thread) used primarily by the fire industry
- NPSH & NPT (National Pipe Straight Hose & National Pipe Taper) have the same threads per inch, NPSH does not taper, used primarily by industrial world
- Storz or sexless is a coupling used to connect large diameter hose (LDH) dominantly used by the fire industry
- Camlock (cam & groove) fittings also known as "quick connects" mostly industrial use
- GHT (Garden Hose Thread) 3/4" & 5/8" typically standard in residential
- Female NPSH thread will receive the following male thread: NPSH, NPT, PVC & IPT
- The female NPT thread will *NOT* receive a male NPSH thread
- NH & NST are the same thread and are only compatible with NH & NST thread
