Lightweight heavy duty gate valve is machined from solid billet aluminum (not cast). Offers excellent shutoff control directly off the hydrant or other water source. Carry these Fire Hydrant gate valves in your hydrant bag for double tapping and triple tapping fire hydrants.
- Unique design gates the water so that the valve body is not pressured while the valve is closed
- Non-rising spindle with full 2.5" waterway flow allows for complete range from open to closed in 11 revolutions
- Surface finish is a black hard Anodized Type III class 2 process that will provide years of protection.
- NH (National Hose or National Standard Thread) used primarily by the fire industry
- NPSH & NPT (National Pipe Straight Hose & National Pipe Taper have the same threads per inch, NPSH does not taper) used by the industrial world
- Female NPSH thread will receive the following male adapters: NPSH, NPT, PVC & IPT
- The female NPT thread will not receive a male NPSH thread
- NH & NST are the same thread and are only compatible with NH & NST thread
