    • Hose Size: Is referring to the inside diameter of the fire hose
    • Fire hose liners: NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) EPDM rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), synthetic nitrile rubber lining & TPU liner (Polyurethane which is National Sanitation Foundation approved, NSF 61 Compliance for Potable Water Hose)
    • NH or NST (National Hose or National Standard Thread) used primarily by the fire industry
    • NPSH & NPT (National Pipe Straight Hose & National Pipe Taper) have the same threads per inch, NPSH does not taper, used primarily by industrial world
    • Storz or sexless is a coupling used to connect large diameter hose (LDH) dominantly used by the fire industry
    • Camlock (cam & groove) fittings also known as "quick connects" mostly industrial use
    • GHT (Garden Hose Thread) 3/4" & 5/8" typically standard in residential
    • Female NPSH thread will receive the following male thread: NPSH, NPT, PVC & IPT
    • The female NPT thread will *NOT* receive a male NPSH thread
    • NH & NST are the same thread and are only compatible with NH & NST thread
